An oral history is a "told" history. It is a preservation of historical information as seen through the personal experiences of the individuals involved in the telling. On the following pages, you will read oral histories conducted by the students of the Heritage School. Students explored themes important to them, worked to preserve the stories of people in their community that have impacted them, and sought understanding of themselves through the experience.
